Line One - Please Stand Clear

Line One is a public transit route scheduled for permanent closure.

You are a temporary administrative worker contracted to remain on the line during its final operating days. Your role isn’t to operate the train or manage passengers, your job is to observe, document, and confirm compliance as the system winds down.

Over the course of three days, you ride the full length of Line One, end to end, as required by procedure.

The line still runs. Trains arrive. Announcements play. Doors open and close on schedule. But the purpose of each action is no longer entirely clear. Most stations see no passengers. Some still do, though no official records list them as active.

Line One exists because shutting it down requires proof that it is no longer needed. Your presence is part of that proof.
